Air-entraining agents for concrete are auxiliary admixtures for concrete and mortar mixtures serving to increase the durability of hardened concrete, to enhance the workability of concrete while in a plastic (flowing) state and to reduce the deaeration rate and segregation of fresh concrete.

Air-entraining agents for concrete are especially important in regions with cold climate where freeze-thaw cycles are significant. Enaspol a.s. supplies air-entraining agents based on surface active agents ( surfactants ), generally alkyl sulfates, alkyl ether sulfates and their mixtures, under the product series Enafoam.
